How are TAB-Expiring Badges activated?
TAB-Expiring Badges are activated by folding the attached tab behind the badge. It’s called “TAB-Expiring” because the expiration components are part of the tab attached to the self-adhesive badge. Unlike traditional expiring badges that require assembly of multiple pieces, this patented one-piece design makes activation virtually foolproof. The TAB-Expiring Visitor Badge guarantees proper activation every time and saves time at the front desk.

How do your badges “expire”?
A color change reaction is activated when the red ink makes contact with the adhesive.

Can the color change reaction be stopped?
No, once activated the color change cannot be stopped.

What affects the timing?
This color-changing process is both time- and temperature-sensitive. We have engineered the badges to remain valid for 4-6 hours at room temperature. Within 24 hours, the badges have fully changed color.
